On Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Adopt-A-Battalion will
be holding its
FALL 2013 SUPPORT OUR TROOPS FUND RAISING DINNER
at the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Island Council located at 2 East Gate
Road, Massapequa Park, NY (located just behind Big Daddy's Restaurant). The cost
will be $35.00 per person, and includes a deluxe hot smorgasbord dinner, salad,
beer, red & white wine, coffee & cake. ALL proceeds go towards the cost of shipping
care packages to our troops serving in Afghanistan; for the purchase of necessary
items as needed for both our troops serving in harm's way and also for patients
in the Northport Veterans Administration Hospital; and for several new initiatives
AAB will be starting in 2014 to support those who have served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan
and returned home. These initiatives will include both a Special Needs Fund and
Scholarship Fund to assist our veterans who have served their country since the
9/11 attack on our country.
